Founded in January 1998 by 16 dedicated members, the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing top-quality education to a multidisciplinary group of asthma educators. As the premier professional organization for asthma educators, AAE supports healthcare professionals preparing for the national asthma educator certification examination. Our credibility is bolstered by being one of the 20 stakeholder organizations assisting the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) in establishing a standardized national certification examination.
