Advocacy

The Advocacy Committee of the Association of Asthma Educators (AAE) serves as a strong and unified voice for asthma educators and the patients and communities they support. Our mission is to advance policies, promote access to high-quality asthma education, and elevate the role of asthma educators within the healthcare system.

We are committed to:

  • Supporting legislation and regulatory initiatives that improve access to affordable asthma medications, devices, and education services
  • Promoting recognition and reimbursement for asthma education across care settings
  • Collaborating with healthcare organizations, policymakers, and community partners to address disparities in asthma care
  • Empowering AAE members with tools, resources, and opportunities to engage in advocacy at the local, state, and national levels

Through education, collaboration, and strategic action, the Advocacy Committee works to ensure that asthma education remains an essential component of quality care—improving outcomes, reducing healthcare costs, and strengthening the health of communities nationwide.

Together, we advocate for better breathing and better care.
